Nakaya Piccolo Long Maki-e Maple Leaves Fountain Pen

This is one of the most popular motif for traditional Maki-e fountain pen among pen lovers. After drawing a motif by urushi lacquer ware, the craftsman rubs into colored, urushi thereafter stiffing. After stiffing once again, the craftsmen polishes carefully not to disappear the colored urushi and to appear the top of each gold powders. Afterwards, the craftsmen rubs Shu-ai urushi and describes the veins using white urushi and polish as the final step.
